What we do

The firm is retained by a client, usually a beneficiary who is to receive payment, under a written Paymaster Agreement. Funds from the transaction are wired into the firm's IOLTA client trust account and paid to each beneficiary by wire, as the signed instructions provide. The firm also holds funds in trust for clients until conditions set out in a written agreement are met.

How we work

• In writing. Every engagement starts with a signed agreement that sets out the firm's limited role, the fee and the payment instructions.
• Compliance first. Every individual and company is identified, screened against U.S. Treasury sanctions lists, and asked about the source of funds.
• Secure. Client information is collected through an encrypted portal with two-step sign in, never by ordinary email.
• Confidential. Client information is protected by the attorney's duty of confidentiality.

What we are not

The firm is a law office. It is not a licensed escrow company, bank, money transmitter, currency exchange, digital asset business or investment adviser. It does not guarantee that any transaction will close, does not inspect or value goods, and does not buy, sell or hold cryptocurrency for clients. Other parties to a transaction are not the firm's clients and should consult their own counsel.
