Help using the client portal
Everything you need to open your account, find the forms, and send your signed forms and documents securely.
Go straight to
Step by step
Create your account
Go to Create an account and enter your name, email and a password of at least 12 characters. We send you an email: click the link in it to confirm your address. You cannot sign in until you do. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, or use Resend the confirmation email.
Turn on two-step sign in
The first time you sign in, the site asks you to set up an authenticator app (Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, free on your phone). Scan the code on the screen, then type the 6 digit number the app shows. From then on, you sign in with your password plus the current number from the app. This protects your identification and bank documents.
Open Forms & verification
After you sign in, click My Portal at the top of the page, then the Forms & verification tab. You can also go straight to Forms & verification. This page lists every form and document the firm may need, and shows which ones you have already sent.
Download, print and sign each form that applies to you
Click Download PDF next to the form. You may type into the PDF before printing. Print it, sign it by hand in ink, and initial any changes. The attorney will tell you which forms apply to your transaction.
Scan and upload
Scan every page, or take clear photos with your phone and save them as one PDF. Back on the Forms & verification page, click the gold Upload button next to that form, choose the file and click Upload securely. The item then shows Received.
Upload your verification documents
On the same page, upload your photo ID, proof of address and recent bank statements. Companies also upload formation documents, a certificate of good standing, ownership records and proof of authority to sign. Each has its own Upload button.
Watch for documents from the attorney
When the attorney sends you a document to sign, for example the Engagement and Fee Agreement with the fees filled in, you get an email and it appears at the top of the Forms & verification page. Print, sign and upload it the same way.
Download the forms
You can download any form here without signing in. To send it back, sign in and upload it on the Forms & verification page.

- "Locked out"
- After five wrong passwords the account is locked for 30 minutes to protect it. Wait, then try again, or call the office.
- The 6 digit code is not accepted
- Use the newest code shown in your authenticator app (it changes every 30 seconds), and make sure your phone's time is set automatically. If you lost your phone, use one of your recovery codes or call the office.
- My upload was refused
- Files must be PDF, JPG, PNG or Word, and no larger than 20 MB. A file renamed to .pdf that is really something else is refused. Save a smaller copy, or split a long document into two files.
- I cannot find a form
- All forms are listed above and on the Forms & verification page. If the attorney asked for something that is not listed, upload it on the Documents page and add a note.
